enough to offer a multitude of lifestyles for all ages.
Culture
Being at the crossroads of Europe and Asia , throughout the
centuries, Bulgaria and its people have developed a culture of hospitality and
vitality.
Bulgarian combines emotionality of Mediterranean people and pragmatism of West
Europeans.
Bulgarian festivals and customs date back to ancient times when men tried to
appease the natural elements and trembled before their power. Full of beauty,
gaiety, mystical voices, fiery dances and brightly colored costumes -
Bulgarian folklore has to be seen, felt and experienced!
Climate
Bulgaria is situated in South -E ast Europe and occupies the eastern part of the
Balkan Peninsula.
The relief is e xtremely varied of large plains and lowlands, low and high
mountains, valleys and lovely gorges. Temperate continental with clearly marked
four seasons. A Mediterranean influence is felt in the country's southern
regions. The average annual temperature is 10.5° C. The average January
temperature is around O° C. Average summer temperatures rarely exceed 30° C.
Language
The basic language is Bulgarian. English, German, French and Russian are spoken
in the country's resorts, hotels and restaurants. The more of information is in
both Bulgarian and English, making it easy for everyone to get around.
Bi-lingual menus, announcements and instructions, as well as official documents
are the norm.
Cost of Living
As for the Bulgarian housing market, a lot of property can be bought for not
much money. Over the past year prices have risen sharply, particularly in the
main coastal areas, but there is still a long way to go to reach "European
levels". Of course, many will equate low prices with high risk. It's normal
to have anxiety about the unknown or unusual. The reality, however, should
reassure. Bulgarians have always valued private property, as shown by their very
high levels (equal to UK ) of home ownership. Bulgarians are now motivated to
modernise and reach out to opportunity. It's a generally friendly country, with
a long history of dealing with conflict that makes them tolerant and easy going.
Tourism is recognised by the government as a key industry for them and
foreign investment is welcomed.
Low property prices, beautiful countryside, historic towns and unchanged rural
traditions with cost of living surprisingly low.
Solid property ownership
Foreigners are able to purchase real estate properties without special licenses
from the government . The property is freehold and owners possess building right
and ownership forever.
Bulgaria is among the countries, where British people would like to have a
dwelling. Croatia, Turkey, Spain, France and the English speaking countries are
also in the preference list. Till 2012 the governments will offer different tax
concessions and other alleviation in order to attract the foreigners .
Investment opportunities
Not words but facts prove why you make the perfect investment:
- Deferred payment with the following schedule of payment
- 10% at signing the contract
- 15% at rough construction
- 45% at completion
- 30% within one year from the readiness of the building
- High rental income
- An expected increase of the prices as a result of Bulgarian EU membership in
2007
- High quality buildings
- Complexes just on the beach
- Fixed local currency helps foreigners to invest
- You are buying property from one of the most stable Bulgarian companies (http://www.bcci.bg)
The high taxes and production costs in EU countries can make
holidays and second homes there an expensive experience. Bulgaria by contrast is
low cost.
The country is determined to join the EU in 2007, so this window of
opportunity is limited.
